What’s next for Hillcrest?

Hillcrest will not only act as a headquarters for ConnectAbility, but also provide much-needed accessible office space and entertainment space for creatives and executives alike.

This accounts for the largest funding requirement for the project. Few historic renovations include the addition of an elevator, which limits the enjoyment of the building.

Everyone should be able to enjoy the stunning 3rd-floor view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Easy access for everyone is the highest priority. The front facade of Hillcrest will include accessible parking and a short ramp to the wrap-around porch.

The porch will include zero-grade entry into all ground-level doorways. This outdoor covered space can be enjoyed by all guests.

Hillcrest will include ADA-compliant facilities to ensure everyone has a safe experience. We plan to incorporate vintage and original era fixtures where possible throughout the building.

A compliant and accessible building can still preserve historic elements for public enjoyment.

ConnectAbility is seeking your support in funding the accessible features of the Hillcrest House.
